"The Best of the Pyrenees" Flexible Cycling Tours
Bring your friends and join me on my exclusive tours of France's Hautes-Pyrenees, where Pic du Midi towers over high, steep, mountain passes like world famous Tour de France climbs Tourmalet, Hautacam and Luz-Ardiden. Each tour is always limited to the group that you bring along with you, so friendship and camaraderie are a breeze and the daily itinerary flexibility built right into the plan, creates the perfect balance between personalized services and reasonable fees. Besides, no other tour packs as many of these spectacular mountain climbs into as few days as "The Best of the Pyrenees" tours do!
5 Days/5 Nights:
Epic climbs and lots of them are the theme of this tour. Included are Tourmalet, the Tour de France's most famous pass; Col d'Aubisque; Col du Soulor; Hautacam; and Luz-Ardiden, which boasts climbs to the finish line that are more challenging and more scenic than Alpes d'Huez. Home base is the Argeles-Gazost Valley, where you'll begin and end each day with a delicious meal in a charming local establishment. Every day will bring varied routes that will also introduce you to my favorite smaller, secret climbs and routes, little known gems of the Pyrenees. In every case, the daily distance, climbs and pace are all adjustable for your comfort and pleasure.
8 Days/8 Nights:
If five days and the preceding list of matchless climbs just aren't enough for you, this tour includes every one of those challenges and then adds some more. After riding the best of the Argeles Valley, we'll move on to the picturesque mountain village of St-Lary, where gigantic Pla d'Adet, Col d'Aspin and some of my favorite less known but equally spectacular mountain roads await you. Flexibility of distance, elevation and pace is, of course, my specialty. Tours are limited, so contact me now for more information and to reserve your spot.
"The huge challenge was equaled by the huge reward and satisfaction of success."
