With more than 21 major mountain passes—a total of 64,000 ft over a distance of 405 miles—this 9-day tour is definitely for avid and experienced cyclists. Stronger riders may wish to add the optional climbs. The rest day in the spectacular mountain setting of the Argeles-Gazost valley, can be spent in the village, visiting Lourdes, or doing optional climbs including Hautacam, Luz-Ardiden and/or Port de Boucharo.
