LA PIERRE ST-MARTIN DESCRIPTION

This long and challenging climb takes you through one of the Pyrenees' lushest green valleys all the way up to Col du Soudet and then on to La Pierre-St-Martin. Choose a sunny day for this terrific climb because the mountain is frequently wrapped in clouds that will obscure its great visuals. The ancient forest bordering this road opens up only toward the top to offer a splendid view of Pic d’Anie, 1000 meters higher. The middle section of this climb is quite steep ranging between 8 and 11%, but it is its length plus its total elevation gain that makes this climb so demanding.
